No reality TV here.  Just plain-old drama-free reality.

My primary specialty is verifying serial numbers on vintage vehicles.

Many people, including may CA DMV employees, are unaware that the 17-digit alphanumeric code known as a VIN was not standardized until 1981, including standardizing the locations.  Prior to that, it was a free-for-all.

Taking a car to the DMV may result in a confused inspector sending you to CHP for verification.  In many cases, that means waiting months for an appointment, and then you get to go back to the DMV!

I can do that verification for you, in minutes, when and where you want!  Then you go to the DMV just once!

While my primary territory is The Greater San Francisco Bay Area, I have had clients fly me to their location, as far as the opposite ends of the state.

My rate for verification is $100/per car.

If the verification happens within the City and County of San Francisco, that is the only charge.

My fee for travel is $25, for each contiguous county traveled outside San Francisco.  I don't charge for where the road goes, just for what is connected on the map.  The travel fee covers both directions, and is a one-time charge, so if you have 5-cars to verify you pay on travel fee, or round up your whole car club, the verification is $100/per car, and you split the travel free.

*For verifications outside of my normal range, you would need to contact me.  These normally include paying my travel and lodging expenses (if necessary), as well as a negotiated flat-fee for my time.

Please be aware that due to the rules changes that went into effect on 11/1/2018, you must have some sort of supporting document (please see the DMV website for qualifying documents) that relates to the car, or you absolutely will have to go to CHP.  The State of California changed the Verifier rules to deter the re-titling of late model stolen vehicles, vintage vehicles, hot rods, and customs just got caught in the cossfire.

Also note:  I know where the serial number are, and what they look like, and I do not tolerate any monkey-business!
